My truck parked at the "trailhead" An elk had been running up the trail Thunder Mountain in the middle and East Mountain to the left of it Mt Jefferson (in the clouds) and Olallie Butte An interesting old blaze I think the triple blaze like that was to indicate this was the "boundary trail" (between the Clackamas and Molalla drainages) An open area on the Baty Butte trail The old helipad on the Baty Butte trail I think this was bear scat - it was a pretty big pile A small rockpile where we had lunch Some pretty fresh Elk poop Coming up to the old Helipad area from the south Looks like a very old campsite - it seems like there was a rock cairn on the trail and then a fire ring in the campsite Baty Butte is visible thru the trees My truck with Baty Butte in the background Narrow brushy roads - this road seems to have gotten a lot worse since the last time I drove it.
