View from one of the rockslide areas One of the small "creeks" we crossed on the way down The Roaring River - it was pretty roaring today! Roaring river looking downstream (Southwest) This was on a tree near the campsite by the river - it says "PNW 7/27/10 Team #1" Is this the team that cleared the trail???? The lower section hasn't seen much work for a while. The campsite by the river This is a VERY old cut log on the trail - where is the trail? This must have been a survivor from the big fire over 100 years ago. This was a LARGE tree - probably at least 6 feet in diameter - maybe 8. One of the worst meses on the trail. One of the rockslides from below - the trail is WAY up there at the top somewhere This is an area near the rockslide - it almost looks like there was a cabin or something here at one time I think this is Indian Ridge - maybe the old lookout was on top? I think this is where the old "Corral" was - many years ago More evidence of a Corral This looks like it could have been an old outhouse? It was a relatively square pit with wood around it. It was right next to the tree with the barbed wire fencing on it. This is why this hike isn't a "car" hike. This road is getting worse each year - those ruts can be pretty deep.
