This was a winter hike to the snow level on the Cripple Creek trail. It was REALLY cold the day we were up there, and we didn’t go too far, since the cold coupled with the wind
I’ve hiked this trail at least twice (you can see the winter time in a couple of the pictures). It is a very pretty trail, and the spot on top of Squaw Mountain is a nice vista.

This was a weekend backpacking trip into Shining lake. We were going to go to Big Slide Lake, but the road was closed due to construction, so we had to make alternate plans. After consulting the ranger
